Hey Mr. Tambourine Man

At a live session for KEXP in New York, The Cloud Cult performed this cover of the famous Bob Dylan tune "Mr. Tambourine Man". I actually prefer this beautiful, and somewhat ethereal sounding, cover to the original. Listen to the .MP3, and let me know what you think!

You can download the song here.

This song was actually my first introduction (though I suppose one can only ever be introduced once anyways) to the Cloud Cult. But after listening to this song, plus a few tracks from their website, it's no surprise to me that this [environmentally aware] group was nominated "2004 Artist of the Year" by the Minnesota Music Awards. After all, if Minnesota says it, there's really no question, is there…

Take a listen, let me know what you think. Here's a link to their website, where you can download a few more MP3s, or perhaps join their movement to save the planet, if you're so inclined.

You make some pretty bold statements young man. Watch it walking home tonight, you might get mugged by hippies.

The only good remake of a song was when the Pet Shops Boys recorded Cory's Sunglasses at Night. "Don't mess around with the guys in shades, oh no!"
