I got my Mac!!

So about an hour ago, a lovely little van pulled up in front of our house, and dropped off a lovely cardboard box. Inside that box was my MacBook, which I am now typing away on! I imagine that I'll be spending the next week or so trying to actually figure out how this thing works!

For the longest time I've used 1000freefonts.com as a resource when I'm looking for a font to meet a specific style of a new site. As of today however, it looks like it's time to move on! (more…)

Google acquires JotSpot

This is an interesting move on Google's part. It looks like they may be moving even more into the groupware/collaboration space, as they've just purchased JotSpot.

I read the FAQ, and it seems that JotSpot is an online collaboration tool, using a Wiki-style approach. This would be great for small companies that can't afford Sharepoint. Microsoft should be scared!

Unlock a secret (free) Windows XP Theme

For a while I fooled around with WindowBinds, trying to get a decent theme that would make my XP interface look closer to Vista. After WindowBlinds seriously screwed up my laptop (I had to re-install XP), I decided to just accept the standard boring XP GUI.

That is, until I stumbled across Royal Noir. Microsoft developed this theme mainly for Media Center, but never released it! (more…)
