Cheap MacBook RAM

Mac

As I've mentioned, I recently bought my first Mac; a 2.0 GHz white MacBook. So far I love it, but I do find that I max out the 512MB of RAM pretty easily when I'm doing web design or development and listening to music. So I decided to upgrade the RAM.

I went first to the Mac Store online. To buy 2 sticks of 512MB RAM, which would take me to 1GB, would cost me $180 CAD. I didn't want to go this route, because if I want to upgrade to 2GB in the future I have to buy 2 new sticks instead of just another 1GB.

So I hunted around. I was able to find PC2-5300 1GB 1X1GB DDR2-667 200PIN SODIMM Memory, Made by Patriot, for only about $130 CAD. Here's a direct link to the Mac memory.

What can I say, I'm pretty happy with the purchase! Now I can't wait for it to get here…
