Should I get satellite radio?

So, I love listening to internet radio at work. I basically listen to WOXY and KEXP every day, and always hear some great new music. I usually end up downloading albums or buying them from the artists' websites or eBay, and if I really like them I go to see them when they come to Toronto.

Anyhow, the problem is driving. Radio stations that I get in my car suck. I often end up making mixed CDs of new stuff that I like, but that takes a lot of time to keep up with. So, that leads me to my next idea. I'm kind of wondering about getting satellite radio. I was recently given a link to a site about Sirius satellite radio, and I have to say, it looks pretty awesome.

It would seem that I can get a lot of the good music, indie included, on satellite radio. I am a little concerned about the idea of having to pay a monthly fee though. If anyone out there has satellite radio (XM or Sirius), can you post a comment, let me know how you like it, whether or not you feel it was worth it? Thanks!
